These terms are an agreement between you and Turtle Techsai ("we", "us"). By installing or using Parampara, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

1. Who may use Parampara

You must be 18 or older to create an account on your own. If you are under 18, you may use Parampara only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for the mobile number you register and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using it.

2. What Parampara is — and what it is not

Parampara helps you organise and remember how your family keeps its festivals. It offers prep checklists, reminders, timing calculations, descriptions of customs and AI-generated suggestions.

Please read this part. Religious and cultural practice varies enormously between regions, communities and individual families — that variation is the point of the app, not a defect in it. Nothing in Parampara is a religious ruling or authoritative guidance. Where the app differs from what your family, your elders or your religious authority tell you, follow them, not the app.

2.1 Timing calculations

Muhurat timings, including Rahu Kaal, Choghadiya and Abhijit, are computed from an astronomical approximation using your device's location and clock. They are provided for convenience and may differ from a panchang prepared by a qualified astrologer. Do not rely on them where precision matters to you.

2.2 Festival dates

Many festival dates depend on lunar calendars, local sightings or regional convention, and can differ by a day between communities and cities. We make a reasonable effort to be accurate and to correct dates when we learn they are wrong, but we do not warrant that any date is correct for your community.

2.3 AI-generated content

Answers to questions, recipe suggestions and similar content are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Use your judgement, especially for anything involving food, allergies, fire, children or health.

3. Your content

Photos, videos, recordings, notes and recipes you add remain yours. You keep all rights in them. We claim no ownership.

If you use Parampara on your own, your festival album stays on your device. If you join a household, what you save — your festival setup, your prep progress, and the photos and videos in your album — is shared with the other members of that household, and you grant us permission to store and transmit it for that purpose alone. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not claim any ownership of it.

Anyone holding your household's invite code can join and see everything the household shares, including your photographs. Treat the code accordingly.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, particularly recordings of other people. Please ask a family member before recording them.

4. Households and family sharing

Anyone with your household's invite code can join it and see and change that household's shared festival setup and activity. Share the code only with people you intend to give that access. You can see the members of your household in the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the app to harass, abuse or impersonate anyone;
upload content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
attempt to breach, probe or disrupt our systems, or access another household's data;
reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it;
use automated means to extract our festival content in bulk, or resell it.

6. Shopping links

The app links to third-party retailers. Some links are affiliate links and we may earn a commission on a purchase. We do not sell any of these products, we are not party to your purchase, and we are not responsible for price, availability, delivery or quality. The retailer's own terms apply.

7. Availability, and changes to the app

We provide Parampara on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice before removing something significant where we practically can.

8. Ending your use

You may stop at any time by deleting the app, and you may ask us to delete your account by writing to the address below. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on festival dates, muhurat timings, AI-generated content or third-party retailers. Our total liability in connection with the app is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, or INR 1,000.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [CITY OF JURISDICTION], India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Parampara after a change means you accept the updated terms.
